Good vacation rental in a great spot.
Booked this location about 3weeks before our trip to mainly take my daughter fishing, while my wife and other daughter could play around on the island. 1 week before our trip, a nor'easter developed and started moving up the coast bringing heavy rain and flooding. I tried to cancel our trip with the property owner and even asked about only getting a partial refund, and they said no to any refund and only said that is why they push travel insurance. There was not an evacuation order given, so travel insurance would not have helped. We delayed our trip one day (only a 3 night trip booked originally) to miss the heavy flooding. Upon arriving, the house appeared fairly nice with general wear and tear that I took pictures of and then asked the property owner via text if I needed to send them to her: no response. My 9 yr old daughter went to use the bathroom and discovered mold all over the toilet seat. I sent a pic of this to the property owner: no response. We went and bought some cleaning supplies and cleaned the toilet ourselves. The next message we got from the property owner was the check out instructions and she did not even apologize or acknowledge the mold issue until I did a review with them. What was supposed to have been a fun family trip was really just more of a headache.
